StanleyMan
Built for the mobile web
Austin musician, Stanleyman, wanted a web site to promote his fundraising effort to record a new album. He wanted a website that would work on mobile devices, so I built the site using HTML5 with native audio playback for his three sample tracks. Resize your browser to see it scale.
Modulists
A modular, web-based task management tool
I'm obsessed with task management tools. Unfortunately, I haven't found one that suits the way I like to see my projects and tasks organized, so I've built my own using PHP, mySQL, and jQuery.
Modulists is currently in beta. There's still a number of bugs that need to be worked out, as well as a few features that have yet to be developed. Nevertheless, I think it's pretty cool.
About Me
Professional
I've been working on the web since 2000, where I learned to build websites the old fashioned way: with <tables>. I soon discovered the glory that is CSS, and became committed to the separation of mark-up and presentation (I even got to contribute to the CSS Zen Garden). I've since become a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to web skills, utilizing jQuery, PHP, and some .NET. I've built sites using Wordpress, ExpressionEngine, and SiteCore content management systems.
Currently, I manage the web team at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Here, I am focused on improving the usability and usefulness our site; implementing our analytics infrastructure, and evangelizing that less is more when it comes to the web.
Personal
I live in Austin, TX with my wife and two children. Though we have become smitten with Austin, we are planning to return to the city we call home, New Orleans, this summer. Geaux Saints!
